This was my shack! I had a Drake TR-4 transceiver w/MC-4 on top, Yaesu FT-290R on top of a 160 watt Mirage amp on top of an Astron RS-35M power supply, Ten Tech 2m to 6m transverter (8 watts out) and a Heathkit SB-614 monitor scope. I have a tech plus license. (DM78) I mostly talk on 2 and 10 meters.
Nov 2003; I sold the TR-4 and bought an Icom IC-730. Since I have up-graded to an Extra license I wanted a better radio.
Dec 2005; I got tired of the problems with the ICOM T/R relay, so I bought a Kenwood TS-2000!!! What a radio! It has replaced all my other base radios in one unit. I still use the Astron power supply to run the new Kenwood with.
We have critters too.
